Skype is a voice calling , video calling and texting , images and files , all for free . of course there are some premium features such as calling phone numbers and group video chatting ,etc...

Skype was released in August 2003 , it was created by Dane Janus Friis and Swede Niklas Zennstorm  in co-operation with Ahti Heinla, Priit Kasesalu, and Jaan Tallinn .

Skype works on these platforms : Microsoft Windows , Mac , Linux , Android OS , iOS , BlackBerry OS , Windows Phone Smartphones and Tablets , And some other platforms (such as : Samsung smart TV , PlayStation portable slim and lite series , etc... ).

 we know that telecom companies in Belize, Brazil, Mexico, China, Columbia, Cuba, Panama, UAE and some other countries in middle East Asia and South America are doing this practice. Skype traffic is either slowed down via connection speed, or is completely blocked in those countries.

Instagram

Instagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, and share them on a variety of social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.

Instagram was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, and launched in October 2010 as a free mobile app. The service rapidly gained popularity, with over 300 million as of December 2014 !!

Like Snapchat , Instagram only works at iOS and Android OS .

Snapchat

Snapchat is a video messaging application created by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown, when they were students at Stanford University .

Using the application, users can take photos, record videos, add text and drawings, and send them to a controlled list of recipients. These sent photographs and videos are known as "Snaps". Users set a time limit for how long recipients can view their Snaps ,when the recipients see the Snaps the media will be deleted from the Snapchat servers !!

Snapchat only works on iOS and android OS .

WhatsApp is a smartphones application that allows you to communicate with people around the world using text messages ،

short voice messages or voice calls ,and it allows you to send media too (eg.: pictures , videos , location and contacts ) , all for free (Note: voice calls are blocked in Saudi Arabia ).

WhatsApp Inc., was founded in 2009 by Brian Acton and Jan    Koum, both former employees of Yahoo .!

WhatsApp works on those platforms : Symbian OS , Android OS , Windows Phone , BlackBerry , Samsung Tizen OS , Android Wear Smart Watches And of course iOS .

WhatsApp works on windows and Linux OS too , syncing it with The browser (not all browsers ) .

By now , WhatsApp is the most popular messenger in the world !!

   Friends play a great role in our lives. They effect our lives negatively or positively. We should choose them very carefully. First, we can look at his behaviour. After that, we can look at his activities. It is very important to do something together. We must beware of people who has bad habits such as smoking, eating too much even when not hungry , etc.
